This is Life

For the past couple of days, I have been logging on only to log off because I could not think of anything to say. But thanks to a friend of mine, I think its about time I write again... (Thanks Jeanette :)
Things here at SVU are starting to pick up. Lately I have been having a lot of tests and even more homework! YUCK! The leaves are still changing and the weather has turned to almost freezing. Which is both a good and a bad thing. Good because I LOVE sweaters. LOVE them. Bad because despite how pretty it can be outside, I am so unmotivated to sit out in the cold to enjoy it.
Soccer season is wrapping up. We only have three more games. THREE! The season has seriously flown by. We haven't lost a game since September 21st and have played a total of 13 games so far. Over the past couple of months I have grown so close to my team. They have always been there for me when I needed extra motivation. They make me laugh so hard at the silliest things. They were a family to me while mine couldn't be here. I am proud to say that I am part of the Southern Virginia University Women's Soccer team and I am so thankful for each of the players.
Today is our Kick for the Cure game, which should be pretty awesome! We get pink jerseys and ribbons and for every goal we make the soccer fund is donating $10 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Even some of the faculty here have promised to match the donation! What an amazing event. A great sport and a great cause.
Last weekend (I DIDN'T go home) was awesome. It started off with my roommates as we drove around BV and took tons of pictures (they're on FB, if you havent seen them yet). We had so much fun and went to this diner called the Pink Cadillac Diner which was completely decked out with Elvis merchandise. Later, I went into Lynchburg with 2 friends on a serious shopping excursion. We went EVERYWHERE! I got a hot new dress and a sweater! Exciting stuff. It was a really great weekend and made me really appreciate the friends I have made here and how truly awesome they are.
I'm excited for Halloween. I'm not entirely sure what I am going to be doing yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be nothing short of fun.
I love blogging (and writing in general). So, I am making a goal at this very second to write on this blog at LEAST once a week. It will probably be on Sundays. Does that sound good to everyone? Good. OH, and if YOU have a blog that you haven't updated in a while, PLEASE update it. I love seeing what you've been up to!
